Trying a 48hr fast

I’ve never done fasting before. I’ve been reading that it can help with all kinds of issues plaguing the body, so I decided to give it a try for 48hrs.

I’ve tried doing the liquid diet, where all you consume are liquified vegetables. I tried that for about 6 days and I can tell you that 1st day is ok.. 2-3rd day are pretty miserable, you are angry at the world. 4-6th day for me was kind of easy, I was constantly hungry though, but I made it through. It’s a quick way to lose weight but I don’t know if I’d ever do it again for such a long period.

This time it’s just going to be water for 48 hours. I expect much of the same, 1st day is ok, 2nd day I’m going to be miserable and hating life. We’ll see how it goes though. If it goes well I think I may do these fastings more often, or try intermittent fasting. One article I read was fasting 18hrs a day with a 6hr window for food. That may be more reasonable than fasting for 48 hours, but I at least want to see what affects it has on my body.
