Sometimes online shopping sucks

So I have a Dell PowerEdge R320 server at my home, it’s what I’m running my NAS on. According to documentation, the R320 supports a specific type of drive caddy, one that has LED’s for read/write and failure indications. I’ve seen pictures of these caddies in the R320, so I order some.

They arrive and they will not fit! Thankfully they were cheap, and do support a wide array of PowerEdge servers so I’m going to keep them, but man is that frustrating. The HDDs in the R320 are just using some regular inserts that have no features. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but for me to try again I have to power off the server. I’ll try again this weekend…
