I went into the office yesterday and today and they are remodeling the entire building. All personal belongings are gone, they are now converting offices into conference rooms and going to be allowing people to check into a desk to work for the day.
It’s pretty crazy to think that we may never go back to how life was pre-covid. I work for a large company, but I can only imagine this is happening to smaller companies as well. I wonder how this will affect cities. Lots of people travel to another city for work, where they buy lunch, dinners and taxes for that go to the local city. Hub cities where lots of people travel to must be seeing a large negative in the city coffers because of so many people working remote now. They too also need to adjust their strategies!
August 1st my office opens up again, so let’s see how this goes.
