I went to pick up my dog’s insulin..

As I pulled up to pick up my dogs insulin at the vet, there was a lady on the left of me who kept looking over at me and my dog, as my dog was leaning out the window sniffing the air and anything from her car since her window was open.

She immediately saw that he struggles with tracheal collapse and she asked about it, and I confirmed to her he had it. She told me that she had a dog that struggled with it and they ultimately had to put their dog down.

My dog has tracheal collapse and it gets worse following the days I go into the office because he spends the entire time barking. It takes about a week or so for him to return back to where he’s not struggling so bad. I guess the barking causes some inflammation and it takes a few days to go down.

The lady begins telling me she’s at the vet for her bird. Her bird was having breathing problems and may not make it, and she begins crying in her car. I felt so bad, our animals are our little best friends and when one struggles it’s heart breaking. I’ll never know how her bird ends up. I had to pick up the insulin and rush home since it needs to be kept cool.

Good luck random lady at the vet!
