Supposed to top out tomorrow at 90 with a low of 66.. 66 degrees, so basically by the time you get up in the morning it’s already hot.
And to top it off, I don’t have central AC. I have a downstairs window unit that works great, cools the entire downstairs. I originally bought this for upstairs, but some serious issues prevented me from doing it. I didn’t want a 100lb AC unit hanging out the window with the potential to fall, and the only window that would support it is directly in the path of the entryway to the house, so if it fell, it could fall on me as I entered or exited the house, no good.
Besides that, I did try it in the master bedroom and because I had it mounted incorrectly, tons of water leaked all over the floor, so those 2 things meant it’s downstairs now.
The portable unit I have is the kind with the tube that vents the hot air outside, but it runs basically all night and the compressor never shuts off, so my electric bill sky rockets. I need to figure out a better solution for AC upstairs asap!
