I purchased some Seagate Constellation ES drives on eBay for fairly cheap, around $20 bucks for 2TB drives.
I was just watching someone on youtube comment about a mistake they made, and they referenced a Backblaze Cloud Hosting provider who bought a bunch of these drives and wound up with a large % failure rate.
So now I need to start researching other drives that are comparable in price to replace my Seagate drives. I guess enterprise companies found out about the failure rate and are offloading these drives, so they are now flooding the market, making them cheap.
Awesome…..
