I had just pulled into my garage, was sitting in my truck checking my phone and from my side view mirror over walks my neighbor.
I lean out the truck and she asks me one of the strangest questions I’ve ever heard.
She tells me her mother is 90 years old, and she needs help finding someone in the neighborhood that can help bathe and take care of her mother. She told me that she called the hospital and they say they can apply insurance to pay for it, but they cant provide a care worker and was told to ask around for this.
I’ve never heard of a hospital denying someone requesting a care giver, but I’ve also never had someone ask me this so it may be standard practice. Still, just seems strange they had no references, no one to call, other than tell her to find someone on her own.
Anyways, weird update for today.
